Finals Update

Here we are with two games in the NBA finals already played. Now the question is, who will win it all? With the performance that the Boston Celtics put up in game 2 it looks like they surely have a huge chance of winning it all.

It almost seemed like nobody could have stopped Ray Allen in game 2. When i was watching the game i almost started to cry. Ray Allen kept getting himself open for a 3 pointer, and no Laker could have ever stopped him. He was shooting 8-11 from downtown, and finished with 34 points. However, he wasn't the only one who was contributing. Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo came through with a triple double. He had 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists.

I was sitting at home and wondering what's Kendrick Perkins doing on that Boston team. Then i thought to myself that he's there to fight. It seems like sometimes he just wants to start a fight with some NBA player. There are many players in the NBA like that. For example Laker Ron Artest. If ya can recall the famous Pistons vs. Pacers brawl where Artest beat up about 3 Pistons fans. It's the craziest brawl i have ever seen.

Now, back to the playoffs. Most people think that who ever wins game 3 will win it all. Right now, im going for the Lakers, since Kobe is among my favorite players. The key for the Lakers to win is getting Lamar Odom involved in the game. They often forget about him, but he was the one who came through with 19 points, and 19 rebounds against the Phoenix Suns in the conference finals.

Im just hoping that the Los Angeles Lakers would win since i basically dislike every sports team from Boston. Kobe better drop 81 on dem old a** Celts.

Celtics or Lakers?

Curious out of my mind, i decided to ask kids here at the High School of Sports Management their favorite out of the Boston Celtics, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Believe it or not, out of 50 people 25 picked the Celts, and 25 picked the Lakes. I was really shocked since i thought that most people would pick the Lakers since Kobe Bryant is on it. What i did find out is that we have a lot of Rajon Rondo wanna-bees. For example my own friend, and member of the JV basketball team Nazim Preudomme. There's many problems with that. For example height, and the lacking of many skills. I aint gonna lie but he gettin there.

All the students who voted for the Lakers were surprised at the one's who voted for the Boston Celtics. Most of them just said, "If it wasn't for the big three and Rondo they wudda never been su**ing them." I totally agreed with the people who said that. If you really think about it it's really true though, since when Paul Pierce was there by himself i heard nobody talking about them Celtics. Damn i just hate fake fans like that. I got a lot of these right now in my head. One example is freshman student Matthew Busacca, and sophmore Nazim Preudomme.

Many students i asked to vote turned me down since they hate both the Celtics, and the Los Angeles Lakers. I heard a lot of crazy sh*t. My son Malik shuler was in the gym the other day saying "we about to bring the Cavs back to the playoffs." Everybody in the gym just laughed it off.

Out of the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, i am going for the Lakers. I believe that Kobe deserves a repeat, for all his hard work. Plus, they're the only team who stayed consistent from the beginning of the season all the way to the finals of the playoffs.

NBA Finals

The stage for the NBA Finals is set. Game 1 will be played on thursday June, 3, 2010, between the Boston Celtics, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Both teams are playing to their fullest potential in the playoffs. Many people are concerned about how the Boston Celtics though.

The Celts started their playoffs against Dwyane Wade, and his Miami Heat squad who came into the playoffs red hot. Truly many predicted that the Celtics will lose in the first round. All these people came out to be wrong(Including myself). Rondo, came out and just killed the Miami Heat. I was so tite, it wasn't even funny. After that i realized that Rajon is a really underestimated point guard in the league. When people speak of the best point guards , they often mention Chris Paul, and Deron Williams. Now, Rondo has also entered these "best point guards" talk. Anyways, next up were the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were the favorites to win it all. Apparently there was something going on, between teammates LeBron James, and Delonte West. After that all the team chemistry was lost, and the Cavs just lost it. Last iup was Dwight Howard, and his Magic team. Doc Rivers just seemed to figure out the Magic team, and just shut them out. From there the Celtics just won the series 4-2. It almost seems unbelievable.

Now, it's Laker team. They first played the young Oklahoma City Thunder. It wasn't a easy series for the Lakes, but in the end they shut down Kevin Durant, and his Thunder squad. Next up for the Lakers were the Utah Jazz, led by one of the best point guards in the league Deron Williams. Well, that didn't mean anything. Kobe and his side came out , and swept the Jazz off their feet. Im not gonna front the games were very vlose, and some were decided by buzzer beaters, or buzzer failures. In the Western Conference final the Suns came to put up a fight for the Los Angeles Lakers. Stoudemire, and Nash were fighting to their last breath. Nash fought so hard that he broke his nose. In the end Gasol's squad came out to be stronger.

Boston vs. Los Angeles. That's a classical final between two heavy weights. Both teams combined to win 32 NBA championships. That's more than half of the NBA championships ever won. My finals vote goes to the Los Angeles Lakers, due to their consistency, which started in the beginning of the season, unlike the Celtics who were stumbling towards the end of the season.3

Playoff Update

OMG! I was wrong about dem Orlando Magics. After sweeping the Bobcats and Hawks, they lose 3 straight to the Boston Celtics. WTH is going on? Could this be some bribe from the Boston Celtics? I mean it doesn't look like it since Stan Van Gundy lost his voice yelling at his team so much. Van Gundy look like he gonna get a heart attack right on the court. On the other hand you got coach Doc Rivers and his Boston Celtics taking it easy, and trying to win some games. Now i don't feel embarresed about my Miami Heat team being eliminated by the Boston Celtics in 5 games. I actually feel a little proud that they won one game. Sounds weird , but it's totally true.

The Boston Celtics are one of the oldest teams in the NBA, and they are beating teams left to right. In my eyes it's all about their coach Doc Rivers. He's an absolute genius to lead his team to this kind of success. Everybody, or at least most people expected the Celts to get knocked out back in the first round by the Miami Heat. I wish that happend, but it didn't. Now they're one win away from going back to the NBA finals. As i was watching game 3 the other day, i heard the commentator on TNT say,"these Celtics are looking like that 2008 championship team." I had to totally agree with him because he was right. If ya'll can recall in 2008 it was the big three, and everything was surrounded around Kevin Garnett, as the teams best player , and leader. Now it's all about point guard Rajon Rondo. He's one of the, if not the best point guards. I mean who but him gets triple doubles so consistently. I believe he's the Celtics key to victory.

In the west the Lakers took a 2-1 lead on the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers are playing on their "A" game, but the Suns are also putting up a fight. In game 3, the Suns finally got their first victory with a 118- 109 win in Phoenix. The basic reason for that is Amare Stoudemire. He was just killin everybody who tried to hold him. It was impossible to play defense on this beast. He finished with 42 points and 11 rebounds. I believe that if the Suns do win, it will be through him, or because of him.

Look here though. If nobody on the Lakers could hold Stoudemire than nobody on the Suns can hold Kobe Bryant. Grant Hill's old knees cannot keep up with the great Kobe Bryant. Despite the loss in game 3 Kobe Bryant had 36 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists. Bryant is definetly the key if the Lakers wanna get somewhere this year. I don't think there's anybody who wants to disagree with me cuzzz, they will look like a fool.

Playoff Update

Damn. We all know that Rajon Rondo is capable of getting triple doubles on a daily basis. Well he definetely killed it in game 4 versus the Cavs. Rondo had 28 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists.

As much as i hate the Celtics for knocking out my Miami Heat, i also like their young Rondo. This guy is probably one of the most consistent point guards in the NBA. What i see happening is Mo Williams being benched and Mike Brown putting LeBron on Rondo. Yea, exactly, just like the same thing happend against the Bulls, when Derek Rose killed Mo and LeBron had to hold him.
In the west the old Spurs are done. Apparently the Suns learned how to play some defense, rather then scoring 112 and giving up 110. Now they convert great defense to offense. This is getting even better since the LA Lakers are going to play Phoenix in the finals since no team ever came back after being down three games to none.

The Lakers are finally playing on their "A" game, with everybody scoring and playing defense. The Jazz probably had their best playoff game in game 3 but the Lakers had a even better one. Defensively, the Lakes were amazing. Well that's beside Ron Artest almost being floored by Deron Williams on the last play of the game in which they almost lost.

Hold on. I almost forgot about Superman and his Magic. As great as the Hawks were in the regular season, they aint sh*t in the playoffs. Just like the Dallas Mavericks. The whole Hawks team is basically trying to win the team on their own. Well Big Dwight Howard is taking advantage of that and violating them in many ways. And plus i think every single Hawk got dunked on by Howard. And when the Hawks do double team him, he kicks it out to anybody on the perimeter and they just bang a three.

So stay tuned for the remainder of the playoffs and i'll keep you tuned with all the best news. ESPN what? Just listen to Daniel Abraham

Overall Thought's On Playoff's

The first round of the NBA Playoffs has now officially over with the Atlanta Hawks ending the hopes of Brandon Jennings's and his Milwaukee Bucks in seven games.

In the Eastern Conference the number one seed Cleveland Cavaliers and their two time MVP LeBron James defeat the number eight Chicago Bulls in five games. The number two seed Orlando Magic and Dwight Howard basically violated Michael Jordan's Charlotte Bobcats sweeping them off the court in four. . That really doesn't look like a MJ mentality. The number three Atlanta Hawks put an exclamation point on the six seeded Milwaukee Bucks. The series that had me going crazy is the Heat- Celtics one. In a true Miami Heat fan and i was disappointed with my side. We let some senior citizens take a series from us in five games. . I was really tight, but still didn't cry though.

In the Western Conference the number one LA Lakers defeat the youngest team in the NBA Oklahoma City Thunder. I really liked the way Kevin Durant and his teammates made the playoffs after a very disappointing 2008-09 season. The number two seed Dallas Mavericks got punched by the red hot San Antonio Spurs. I saw this coming all the way. If ya'll remember the 2006 finals. The Heat eliminate the Mavs after Nowitzki's side gave them a commanding 2-0 lead. And the year later having the best record and being knocked out by the eight seeded Warriors. The Mavericks are just not a playoff team. Anyway the number three Phoenix Suns and beast Amare Stoudemire defeat the Portland Trailblazers. Everybody saw this coming do to the injury of Brandon Roy. Also the number five Utah Jazz defeat Carmelo's number four Nuggets. I kind of felt bad for the Nuggets since their coach George Karl was diagnosed with cancer and was not with the team. However, this the playoffs and if you don't go hard you will go home. Bye Bye Nuggets.

Round 2 has now started, and teams are extra motivated of making the finals of their conference. In the East the Celts match up with up the Cavs. The only problem is that King James has an elbow injury, and is not in his full potential. However, that's not the only problem. Point Guard of the Celtics Rajon Rondo is just too much for lil Mo Williams. Rondo dished out 19 dimes in a game two victory. My opinion is that the Cavs are going to get knocked out by the Celts in six games. The other matchup is Orlando vs. Atlanta. One word. "Dwight". This is going to be a problem for Atlanta. The Magic won game 1 by 43 points. Damnnnnn. Howard had more blocks than most of the Hawks bench players points. Orlando clearly wins this match up due to size.

dwight-howard.jpg

In the West the Lakers are too much for the Utah Jazz. Kobe Bryant causes mismatches for the whole Utah Jazz team. The Lakers have a demanding 2-0 lead on the Jazz, therefore they will advance to the next round. The other match up is San Antonio vs. Phoenix. This one is going to be a hot one. The Suns won game 1 but the Spurs will put a battle. Anywayssss the Suns come out victorious and go to the Western finals.

The Celtics are going to run into Superman's Magic in the East finals and lose over there in six games. Yes, Young Dwight will go to the finals again. The Celtics are tooooooo old for this young Magic team. In the West the Lakers will play the Suns and win in 5 games. The reason for that is just Kobe. The Black Mamba will violate everybody from this point on.

The finals are going to be a rematch of the 2009 finals. Lakers vs. Magic. However, this time Orlando will come out victorious. The reason is Dwight Howard. Well all we gotta do is wait, but i can almost guarantee my life that will happen.

Strictly NBA

This blog will be about everything in the NBA. For example, players lives, Playoffs, off- season, draft, and many more. I do a lot of criticizing so this blog should be fun.
